Catherine CAMUS has always been a photographer
and recognized as an artist for more than 10 years.
From the beginning she has preferred black & white films,
for her that gives more depth to her subjects:
portraits or nudes (females, males and couples).
Her purpose: to show the natural beauty and the sensuality
that can be found in models who are not profesional ones.
She tries to bring out physical assets while hiding imperfections, using only the pose.

Every photo (more than 800) has a title and a number
(only 5 printings in each size, within the limits of 30).
There are several series:
shadows, nudes inside or outside, Parisian girls,
pictures that remind of painting, sculpture, movies, and so on...
After local exhibitions, Catherine Camus was immediately noticed
by gallerists and critics that led her to international shows :
ArtMonaco’10, nominated for the Prix d’Excellence,
LINEART,Gent & EUROPE EXPO, Brugge,
Salao Internacionale de Arte of Museu POROS
Lille Artfair, GMAC de Chatou, ArtNIM, SAM de Giverny etc...
She was in the final round of the famous Saatchishowdowns,
that brought her to ArtPARIS 2011 in GRAND PALAIS.
She's permanently (since 2007)
(St Germain des Prés, Paris 6e)
and in Abu Dhabi.
Eventually Catherine CAMUS is a judge in several Photo competitions.
